4000 is excellent for the 954! check it out! (almost sounds too good to be true)

Carbon fibers to hide broken frames?!! that's wild!!!

Even though they may crack, I think if it were me I'd go ahead and pull them off to be safe and check it.

you know what, that's EXACTLY what i am worried about on my 929.It too has had carbon fiber frame covers added on to it BEFORE i bought it.I was going to peel one of them off to take a look ,but it seems to be 'glued' on pretty damn good, and would probably break apart if i realy forced trying to get it to come off.after seeing the thread on "frame cracked" , i hope that's not the case with mine....that would be some very ****ed up **** to sell a bike with a cracked ( and not repaired ) frame !

Where would you get an 06 1000RR ? private seller or dealer? Still have 0 miles on it?

i tell you what this is going to be a long 2 more weeks because if the 954 isn't in good shape i'm going to go ahead and pickup a 06 1000rr. The only reason i wait is if the 954 is in great shape its too good of a deal to pass up.

check if the bike has been stunted, Stunters seem to really love these 954's and 929's

thing deserved to be at the bottom of the ocean with that paint on it. glad you did right by it. the blue was always my favorite 954 color. the yellow is sweet too but I probably wouldn't like it as much if we had it in the US.
