Re: Gustav the Hurricane

You should be ok, there should be high covering you which would push it west. If that is incorrect then one positive thing is that it will loose intensity quickly after landfall. ck out storm2k.org and go to the forums section for active storms. you can see model runs and what some of the pro meteorologists are predicting. As it is getting closer SE Texas is looking for a better chance of not getting any bad weather, but still not adviseable to for us to stay with a possibility that its course could change even though its not as likely at this point. Any ways off to clean up the dog and continue packing. Good luck to anyone that may be affected by this storm.

Re: Gustav the Hurricane

Looks right now that it's heading straight for New Orleans. After it hits it should move in a clockwise arch back to the North East which will bring it right over me.

Headed to dallas but I am beginning to think it may be a lot of wasted gasoline. SE Texas may not get any effects unless it wobbles west. better safe than sorry.

Yeah, looks like people are actually taking heed to the warnings and evacuation notices this time.

Katrina still fresh in peoples minds I guess.

Re: Gustav the Hurricane

not too much, being a holiday weekend it was already getting to be like a ghost town around here. A lot of people left out friday and yesterday.

You're not concerned it's going to get worse? (the traffic)
