Re: replica 954 plastics

there are several good quality sets out there.. shipping is crazy.. anywhere from 3 to 4 months.. but for the price..? be sure to do some research on the seller.. there are some that are known for screwing over customers..

The set you had that blew apart, was it made of pvc or abs. Seems most are going to abs and lowering the price. I am thinking of a telefonica movistar 929

Re: replica 954 plastics

I really don't know what happened with mine. A friend mounted them, but they looked and felt secure. Really, they looked perfect until they exploded. Never dropped the bike with them on, even stationary.

Thinking of buying another set, actually, and just backing it with a layer of fiberglass before bolting it on. I got the Konica Minolta colors, and I really like the look. Only problem is one of the stickers is for Michelin, and I run Metzelers.

Didn't just separate at the join.

I'm going with Airtech or Sharkskinz, next time.

Damn nick that sucks and sounds dangerous. i've never heard of anything like this most of the stories I hear about the ebay plastics is usaully good, but maybe because they just put them on and took pics and haven't ridden with them yet.

I bought a set from hong kong and shipped it to france. Yes shipping is nutty but in the end the total price is ok and quality too.
