what they said, its the battery, but if you charge and it does it again then check the stator.

dead battery most likely...

when i worked as an electrician if the problem wasnt obvious always start at the source.

Have you tried charging the battery?
do you have any leakage to ground from ? i fitted an led tail light to my wifes slabsider and i found some of the diodes in it were faulty . (chinese crap)

Sounds like flat battery to me.
Does the pump prime?

929RR won't start - rapid clicking under the seat

Hey guys, I need some help. So my '01 929RR with 13k miles had been running fine. I just installed an aftermarket LED taillight and that works properly. The first time I try to start the bike after installing the taillight the bike won't start. The battery has juice but I get a sound from under the seat that's a very rapid click / buzz sound whenever I try to start it.

Any clue as to what this is?

FYI I'm an electrical engineer and I'm fairly positive that I didn't do anything stupid when installing the taillight. The only thing "out of the ordinary" that I had to do was tap off of the front left turn signal hot because the wire in the back for that side had no signal.
