Re: pins and needles

Mine only does it when I wear normal shoes... And its only on my feet, but come to think of it, I think it stopped after I changed the rear tire and had it balanced... Hmm... Thats whut I would check. Take the wheels in and get them balanced and change your front tire... That will cause alot of vibration.

Sometimes when I wear my Nike's or Rebook's they do that. But when I wear my work boots, they feel fine. Maybe shoe laces smacking your foot? But checking the engine mounting bolts would be a good idea as well...

Thanks Dope so what did you find it was on your 900rr was it tires? Yes it is the same shoes except for the vtx 1800 i just sold it this spring and picked up the 929. So far a fun bike except for the fuzzy hands and feet

The 929 only has 10,000 kms on it and yes gsxr 1000 gsxr 750 and vtx1800 witch none of them cause this sensation in my hands or feet i had a close look at the bike and it looks like the front tire is starting to scalip or how ever you spell that word I think this might be the cause.

Re: pins and needles

I've got a 954, they're very similar and mine vibrates a bit, but not enough to cause pins and needles. Does it happen at other engine speeds, or at certain road speeds? I don't want to sound stupid, but have you ridden any other bikes those distances? Does all your clothing fit well, without restriction?

If it's something with the bike, out of balance throttle bodies can cause vibration. I have heard of people resetting the engine in the frame. Supporting the weight of the engine, loosening all the engine bolts and torque them back up again, but unless you've crashed it or just installed the engine i doubt this would solve it.

pins and needles

Hi all I have a 2000 929 and I find on rides approximately an hour or more the bike has a vibration just enough to cause me to have pins and needles in my feet and some times in my hands but more my feet
Any other 929 riders have this happen on there 929, riding at approximately 5 thousand rpm in top gear.
