honestly as long as she runs i cant see upgrading, she pulls like a freight train and corners 100times better than my zx7r ever did.
call me a nostalgic goof ball but i kinda like the fact that my blade was designed by the same guy that made the first 900RR i wanted when i was too inexperienced to own one, heck if i found a decent 93 blade in my area id buy it in a heartbeat but my 01 stays...
I like my 1000 a lot, but I really, really miss the gentle burble of the 929's idle. If I could detune my idle to be a bit rough like that one, I'd do it.
becareful, so your first isnt your last...so many noobs on literbikes these days its crazy. ive been riding for a long time and couldnt imagine what coulda happened to me on a 929 when i was a teenie bopper with no fear
currently have 2 1000 RR 1 is 07 Repsol and just bought last week 08 RR 8 burgundy and silver combo... but back in 1995 i had a red, white and purple 900 RR and that was an awesome machine was 1993 on an L reg Fine .....
Riding dirt bikes in my eyes just teaches you clutch control... Riding dirt and riding street IMO are different...
Just treat her with respect, and listen to your elders (don't forget, we were once stupid and have probably been through (and seen more) than you have so far)
in the looks dept i think 954 hands down- best looking generation of course my "opinion" some may vary this order. 929 second then thirdly 08, although it needs a tail. would round out my top 3 with ole school 93 just missing the podium.
I wanted to buy a brand new 08, but it still has oil consumption problem
so I decided to stick for a while with the sc57,
