COUNTY/STATE
A motorcyclist was killed when his motorcycle and a car collided Monday afternoon on the Far Southside.
Michael J. Rabourn, 22, was pronounced dead at Wishard Memorial Hospital 1 1/2 hours after the 12:50 p.m. accident, said Marion County Sheriff's Lt. Phil Burton.
The accident occurred in the 1800 block of East Stop 11 Road. Investigators said Rabourn was driving westbound on Stop 11 Road and following his father, who was on another motorcycle.
Eastbound on the same road was a car driven by Bryan D. Chaney, 16. Deputies said Chaney's car went left of the center line and hit Rabourn, who was knocked from his motorcycle and hit by another car.
Deputies said they were told by medical technicians who treated Chaney for minor injuries that he told them he fell asleep while driving home from work. There were no immediate arrests or citations from deputies, said Burton.
