Re: Whishing Coxy all the best

Just wanted to pass all me by best whishes to fellow member and mate, Coxy who is in hospital after a low speed fall from his bike.

Do not not know the full details, as he was still groggy after an operation, but I'm sure he will fill us in, when he is home.
he apparantly rode his blade to work yesterday morning and as he got into his yard where he works, the bike locked the brakes on some degreaser on the wet ground and he slid into a roof support pole. He slid forward and the handle bar impaled his lower abdomen and chipped his pelvis bone. The had to perform a laparoskovy (spelling?) to make sure his bowell had not been spilt, he is rather sore all over, sore shoulder, arms, legs and of course his abdomen.
He had to be transported to the local hospital by ambulance (Hey Will, you may have been the driver)
The bike is a fairly damaged.
This may have ended his riding days, as he has a young family and a wife who does not like bikes (but was prepared to put up with them for his pleasure), and I know he was in lots of pain (even on the drugs) but he has had second thoughts about riding again after being in so much pain from a low speed accident.

Once again Coxy, whishing you all the best from Mick and Bel and hope you have a speedy recovery

Please do not post any negative comments as he is a little down at the momment.

Do unto others, before some prick does it to you!

Damn, my wishes to a speedy recovery. That sounds pretty painful - hope he's back up again soon. :damn:

why put off today what you can wake up late and forget to do tomorrow.

Amazing how much damage can be sustained in a low speed accident. Coxy, mend soon, wish you the best. Really sorry to hear the news, but I hope it doesn't dissuade you from any more riding

Re: Whishing Coxy all the best

Yikes! That was a pretty scary account of what I'm sure spells a painful recovery. Let's hope it's quick and complete.

Get well Coxy. Sorry to hear the news of your mishap.

Coxy,
Heal quickly and well. Consider this a good excuse to take a vacation and hang out with all the cute nurses.
