Re: fireworks

Here in Vermont fireworks are illeagle. It is pretty lame, I would like to get a big pile together for this 4th and entertain people for an hour or so. Tons of my friends just cross over to NH and grab some. But I guess many of the stores will not even sell to you if you have VT plates. WTF is that! Is there even another state that they are illeagle in?

Team Honda - well sorta...

Yes they are illegal here. It's not enforced. You can even buy them here as long as you sign a waiver saying you are using them to scare off birds for agricultural reasons. Easy loophole.

Re: fireworks

Don't worry, you're not the only one around here, fireworks are illegal and Massachusets and Maine. ######## New Hampshire gets to have all the fun. Around here there would be noone to care if you lit off fireworks so as long as you don't start a forrest fire you won't get in trouble.

Illegal here, but this state is a tinder box most of the year so it makes sense.

Re: fireworks

illegal here too. Last year our state cops were sitting at the firework shops located across the border(s) looking for IL plates. When they got one they radioed back to some more cops waiting on the other side of the border - they pulled people over and then confiscated and ticked... man...

Re: fireworks

Get a gallon milk jug and fill it with acetylene from a torch. You'll be able to fit a VW in the crater it leaves.

Re: fireworks

Somewhat illegal in Ohio as well. You're allowed to have them, you just can't use them. In fact, you can have a bottlerocket in one hand, and a lit match/lighter in the other and it's perfectly fine. It's when you get caught lighting it is when they can get ya. Pretty huh?

Re: fireworks

The 'real' stuff (firecrackers, bottle rockets etc) is illegal in Cali. The 'fountain' type fireworks are legal in some counties. If you try to drive to another county they check your license, and cops are around.

The rules are heavily enforced, but for good reason. With our Mediterranean climate, CA catches on fire too easy in the summer.

In TX, you now can't buy the big explosive firecrackers, M80 and above is verboten. They also can't carry the big rockets. At least that's what they told us in December at the place we go to.
