Sorry to hear of your loss, it shakes you to the core when something like that happens and really makes you question yourself. I have had moments when I have thought that I am really selfish for devoting so much to riding, but theres that thing that no-one can really explain to those who dont like bikes, or have never ridden one. I still remember the day I got my race licence, I was on cloud 9 going around that track, thinking to myself "this is nuts", but that is one day of my life that sticks out in my top 3 life experiences, it was beyond good, and that feeling cannot be found any other way than on a motorcycle!
Age has certainly changed the way I ride on public roads for sure, I enjoy my rideouts, but dont take any chances now and always expect the worst around blind corners, it saves your life. Riding on the track also knocked my confidence badly on the road, track riding is where its at for me, just trackdays now because of injury, but I am starting to try and like riding on the road again! Good luck with your new adventure, hope you find what you are looking for, and ride safe!

Still hanging around after all these years! Sold my 929 a couple of years ago, but have been sniffing around for another one...

I check in here about once a year or so.

It's amazing how stupid some people can be.

I was always 'mudduc' on some old text based 900rr online board where I meet a lot of great people. It says I've only bee on here for a year.

I don't know if this is connected to that old dial-up deal or if anyone remembers the racing stories I used to post back in '95, '96, '97. But if you are here, hi!

Oops, thread hack!
I know if a mint 2000 year RC51 for sale out in PA. He's been trying to get $4000 out of it for about a year now. I keep wanting to buy it but manage to continue to resist. I bet he'd take $3500.

Want a hookup? If someone else would buy it, I'd stop being tempted. It is mint except for the tail cover was blown down the road off the bike and got all scratched. There's also something weird about the frame not having the vin plate on the right of the tank but the vin stamped on the steering head looks good and matched his no-lean title.
