Re: all in one

i just got my new puter and now i need to replace my scanner since it old and is not supported with XP.

Anybody have a good recommendations for an All in One. I am looking for the scanner, printer, and fax (at least). I will be using it for scanning receipts in and basic printing. I would like to print some pictures once in a while as well

Re: all in one

I've been using an HP OfficeJet V40 for well over a year. Works great, no problems, has the footprint of a normal flatbed scanner. It's probably also been superseded by something else, which means it's cheap.

Re: all in one

I've been looking at the HP 6110. Seems to be a good seller and has all the features I'm looking for. The local SAMS club had it for 264.00 and there is a $50 dollar rebate on the HP website. But I have no experience with any of the all-in-ones, so anyone else have any inputs?

Re: all in one

My HP K60 has been solid for the past 2 years so far. No complaints on quality either!

Re: all in one

Personally I don't have any good experiences with all in ones. Any one I've worked with has been a major pain to set up, and quality was lacking. I'm still a believer in having the 3 machines separate

Re: all in one

WHATEVER you do, do NOT buy a Canon. I live their cameras (own 3) but man.. I got a Canon All-in-One and it was a None-in-one. Worked maybe 1/2 the time. Center said therw was nothing wrong with it.

Got a seperate scanner and printer and I've been very happy with both (seperatly).

YMMV.

Re: all in one

My work gave me a HP K60 for my home office about 2 yrs ago. I have had no problems and it sets up easy on every msft OS, but I don't think you would want to use it for printing pictures.

Hmm, my V40 (presumably an inferior model) prints come nice pics, _provided_ you use the correct (photographic) paper and set the printer accordingly

So it's settled then, go with the HP K60! After all, we didn't get this all-in-one device for absolute quality. You have to admit, for the price, this printer is pretty sweet.

Re: all in one

thanks for the ideas - I will probably go with something a little more current than the 2 year old versions though.

Hopefully I will spot a decent deal soon
