OUCH!!!

They could have used a remote ignition cut-off rather than taking the chance that he could get away.

Bikes and women - both have nice curves.

Whoa... that guy was taken out. I don't think that type of force would be acceptable here. Wouldn't it have been easier to shoot him?

damn. That's pretty rough. I guess he kinda deserves it, even if it's extreme excessive force.

Re: Hostage Taker Requests Motorcycle For Getaway

dang they just picked the guy up and practically threw him in the ambulance... my boy was having a bad day.

That happened to me and it took me a while to get back on a bike again Some old lady decided to stop in the middle of the road in front of me and a fellow rider. We both hit the car. Brings back bad memories

I came here to chew bubble gum and to kick some ass...and I'm all out of bubble gum.

Re: Hostage Taker Requests Motorcycle For Getaway

Hrmm, got it to work that time.

Here's the quick 1 2 3 on police use of deadly force: US LEOs can use DF to protect themselves or others from death or serious bodily injury or to stop dangerous fleeing felons when risk to the public at large is too great to allow the suspect's escape.

Since this guy had already taken people hostage and threatened that he had a hand grenade, it's quite possible the authorities decided to ram him to prevent his escape and the chance he might take others hostage someplace else.

IMO, hitting him with the car seems a little less dangerous than firing at him. Bullets have no names....

Finally, my personal opinion is (and you won't hear me talk like this too often): f*ck that guy, he fully got what he deserved. Like the journalist said, in this day and age, authorities cannot take these sorts of incidents lightly.

In my best Stongbad voice " Holy Craaappp!!" Double ends in a header.....very suprised there weren't double femur fractures. Then again, he might have but the police still hog tied him and tossed him in. Sometimes bad guys reap what they sow.

Can you say 6 in a ROW!!!!

Even with a grenade in hand?

I'm glad the guy bit it. I would have done it with a bullet or something at arm's reach rather than getting in close proximity of a hand grenade.

And besides... what a waste of a motorcycle. They should have just given him a bike with no gas or the rear axle loose.

As for hostage taking and deadly force, the craziest chit I've ever seen on the news is a hostage taker that came out to speak with the media... little did he know that the "media" was actually a cop with a gun disguised as a camera. When they put the "camera" up to start interviewing, they shot him square in the face - say "cheese" asshole.

He should have requested a Humvee.

What a waste of a bike!!! I wonder who belonged to the bike before there was a junkie making demands? And who has to pay for the damage to the bike and car, not to meantion the time of people involved and the hospital bill as well?

But NO sympathy for the crim AT ALL!!!!! What an absolute
