Re: My 954 and mini-954!

I finally pieced together all the parts to change my wifes f4i from red/black to silver/black. She loved the color of my 954 as soon as I bought it and has been nagging me about how I always get the cool looking toys ever since. So, I spent the past few months searching for all the parts on ebay and finally got them all, a few weeks before her birthday. I got it all put on today and she hasn't been home from work yet to see it. It was a bitch hiding all those bigass boxes from her but it'll be well worth it!!

I'm seriously thinking about getting the front fender and the tail of the f4i painted black. Then the two bikes would look almost identical. What do you think? Too corny?

As a married guy that just adore's his own wife.. naw.. that's not too corny. Pretty cool I think.

What IS corny is the XJ in the background. You need abuilt-up ZJ!!! Just ask me where you can find a nice one for sale..

That's cool! (the bikes) Let us know how she reacts.

I like your place. Behind the Jeep there looks like a nice spot for a mini (XR100) flat track.

I think what you did for your wife was awesome * . *I had a black/silver F4i, but now I have gone to the dark side and have the red/black 954.

Puts on my Dr evil voice 'I think I'll call him ... mini me!'

Very nice.
Just make sure she doesn't jump on your bike, mistaking it for hers, accidentally of course

Let us know what she thinks.

Re: My 954 and mini-954!

I like the black tail/fender idea. And what you did for your wife was not corny in any way, very awesome if anything(and that's coming from a 21yr old kid)

Let us know how she reacts

Yes, I would dig a girl riding that F4i. As for the fender and tail section, I think painting it like the 954 would be the bomb! Great idea!

Re: My 954 and mini-954!

Very cool. I think painting the fender and tailsection would be even better. Then powder coat the '54 swingarm black, perfect match.

The F4i actually looks bigger than the '54.

Re: My 954 and mini-954!

so last night she came home, walked right thru the garage and passed the bikes. I asked her if she'd go get the cordless phone which I so conveniently left right on the seat of her bike. She walks down the stairs, over to her bike and grabs the phone. She turns around and walks halfway back up the stairs before she almost falls over from a heart attack. She walked right past my bike but still thought that the phone was on my bike and not hers (because they look the same now). It took her a little bit to finally get it and I thought she was gonna wet herself she was so excited. She thought I bought her a whole new bike and couldn't believe it was the same bike with different plastic (women are wierd). She definitely loves the idea of painting the tail and fender so I'll have to get that done soon!

Now I just have to convince her to do a few shots on the bike in a bikini??? Hmm, maybe I'll share.

P.S. Did I mention she gave me a certificate for DK forks and exhaust for my birthday last month. Am I lucky or what?
