Re: Far Side

I've always loved Larson's stuff! My wife thinks someone has to be tilted a bit off center to understand his humor, so I guess I am.

Re: Far Side

Gary Larson and Steven Wright! Some bizarre humor going on there. I think Steven Wright is due to be here in Tucson very soon.

edit: yep, this Friday at the Rialto Theater downtown.

Here in Oz

Re: Far Side

I relate to the man. He sees the world in the same light I do.

He's one perons I wish I had knew/known; others would have included Douglas Adams and John Cleese - oh, don't forget Alexander Keiths and John Labatt...

Re: Far Side

Far Side and Calvin and Hobbes are the best ever. And both of their creators retired too early! I haven't found anything else since that comes close. Dilbert's okay, but a little inconsistent by comparison.

Re: Far Side

Back in the day, I used to always have Far Side desk calendars...too bad the guy stopped. But, it was good motovation to get up and go to work, just to see that next day's!!!

Anyone remember the boneless chicken farm?

Or, my fav...the little dog floating in the raft ont he ocean with the skull, and bones. Then the ship find them...caption reads something like this: Oh...this liitle fat dog is happy to see us!" (meaning the dog ate the guy in the raft!)

Conq, I had no idea that collection was out there either...I will have to add that to the want list too.

Team Honda - well sorta...

Re: Far Side

my favorite is the one with the dogs greeting each other with their real names, not the ones their owners gave them. I wish I could find that one on the net somewhere

Re: Far Side

Ever see the one where it shows a dinosaur wearing a huge sombrero?

The caption read, "and on the south side of the river, all the other creatures feared the mighty Tyrannasaurus Mex."
