Any Metroid Prime nerds here?

I bought a GC last December just for that game, really. We have 5-6 games now. I found it to be one of the best games I've played in a while.

Thought about getting this one but haven't done it yet. I didn't care for FPS until I tried Halo on the X-Box, if Metroid is anything like Halo I will have to make the purchase.

Been meaning to pick it up but haven't had a chance. I'm working on beating Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes right now

I've always been tenpted to pick up an Xbox just for that game. I was also never an FPS fan until I played MOH:Frontline.

I've heard Metroid positively kicks hind end.

Metal Gear, man I loved the original PS version of that game. Wasn't the Psycho Mantis battle a nice touch?

Currently checking out Prince Of Persia. I was completely uninterested in this game, but it keeps getting such rave reviews. I have to admit, it's pretty good.

It's not your typical FPS. It plays more as an exploration and an adventure, really, and it's worth every penny. The worlds are expansive and involved, the graphics are outstanding, enemy characters are appropriately designed, and the music suits the surroundings.

Speaking of the surroundings...that's what really sets the game apart. It feels like a real world. The Chozo Ruins might hussle and bustle, while the Phendrana Drifts relax you. The Phazon Mines are down right creepy, and I found myself in a hurry just to get out of the deepest, darkest parts! The game gradually picks up in difficulty as you acquire more gear.

Really, it's worth every penny. I've been surfing the .net trying to find a way to buy individual soundtracks from the game.

Threadjackin' bastage. Yeah, I enjoyed the MG series quite a bit. Throw in GTA and you have a year's worth of playing to do, easily.

Re: Any Metroid Prime nerds here?

[cont'd thread jack]MGS:TTS is pretty much just a complete remake of the original PS version but the story seems to be in more detail and the controls are really cool since you get all the MGS2:SOL features[/thread jack]

I've been a fan of Metroid since the original on NES and I assume the GC version will be that much cooler!
