Living breathing Nigerian Letter?

As I was returning the shopping cart to the corral at the grocery store Saturday night, I was approached by a woman. She identified herself with a name that sounded much like the ones you read in the Nigerian Letter Scams. She was also dressed in something appeared to be, in my mind, what a Nigerian would be dressed in. Anyway, she went on about her husband being in jail, needing money to get him out of jail, kids needing food, etc...

Yadda..Yadda..Yadda...

I told her to have a nice day as I drove off. (And Princess threw in a "Get a job!" comment.)

If they are doing it in RL now then it should make Nigerian Scam Baiting more interesting.

Re: Living breathing Nigerian Letter?

There's a nice little scam going on around here where people will steal a credit card, and then make off to the local gas station. They tell people that for say $10 cash, they will give them $20 in gas because they don't have time to hassle with the cashier. So you hand them the $10, they swipe the card, and you end up getting gas on someone elses card.. I haven't heard if anyone has been charged with receiving stolen goods yet, but I am sure it's coming.

These scammers are making it really hard for the legitimate bums out there.

Re: Living breathing Nigerian Letter?

She's still around! We ran across her pulling her same scam in a parking lot near where we were before. Didn't have the good digital camera, so we caught her on the cell phone camera.
