Farewell or not?

I was kicking around the thought of actually typing this or not, as you can see I decided to go with it...

Originally, this was gonna be just another one of my fishing threads as I was going away for the weekend, it was the perfect opportunity. Over the weekend I had some thinking time and realized that I need to re-prioritize and re-organize things in my life. Obviously, I spend an obscene amount of time on here and the .org was one of the first things that came up on my list of where it needs to go. I'm not leaving completely as I love this place and the people on here, but I'm severly cutting my time spent on here. With thinking about going back to school in the fall(yeah, I know, it's months away), and a bunch of other projects that I'm working on and a separate list of projects that I'm involved with I really need to get caught up on stuff. Just two weeks ago I had 9 computers sitting in my room waiting to be worked on in one way or the other. By the end of this week hopefully I'll be caught up on those, but you get my drift. When I went back to work today I had the opportunity to step up and work on converting the performance review form for the HR department into a web based program that will go on our intranet. Since this will be my first PHP/MySQL project I'm very excited about it, it will also take up most of my free time there.

So I guess this is a farewell, but it isn't. Feel free to PM me, e-mail me, or contact me any other way you know to get ahold of me. I'd love to hear from y'all.

Just as clarification....I'm not "Tired of it all" (https://www.fireblades.org/forums/showthread.php?t=14759) I'm not mad at anybody in any way, I'm just simply taking some time away to get caught up on life.

Sincerely,

The Postwhore

I can hear the sighs of relief from the other PostWhores.

Good Luck. Unlike Chain and 2OHOH2954 you will be missed.

Okay, time for a serious reply- ND, I stand behind your decision 100%. It's a healthy move. Drop in when you can and when you feel like it. I think we all, at times, need to look at the time we spend online and assess our priorities, myself included.

Lata friend.

Hey, you need to do what you need to do. Good luck.

Maybe you read my last post, maybe not. But I just came off my hiatus.
Its been a few months since I was on the .org.
Between school and my own site I just havent had the time to get back into the 929.

I'll try to help fill your shoes for a while.

Re: Farewell or not?

ND, sincerely, good luck getting everything in order and stay in touch. You'll be missed while you are away.

And I wholeheartedly promise I won't say anything disparaging about you and then e-mail you the link to tempt you into responding.

Yeah, right!

No, I hear ya ND4, you gotta do what you gotta do. Best of luck in your endeavors and I, for one, hope you keep posting somewhat regularly. I know you will, 'cause you are way too proud of that obscene postcount!

I have your PM address, you know?

Re: Farewell or not?

Best wishes ND4 - we'll miss you! Re-prioritizing is definitely a worthy goal. This site is incredibly addictive. I have to limit myself to a couple of brief visits a day, or I'd become a complete PostHo like Baccy and Chain!

Take care, bro!

Unfortunately, the convention is in Whistler, BC this year - maybe next year they'll have it in Tucson again. I'll be back for sure then!

Re: Farewell or not?

Class V this time! Should be a good rafting season this year with all the snow we had over the winter.

P.S. For all of you newbies out there, this is what's known as a (Sorry, ND4).

Please continue with the original thread...
