Re: falling down

You know that Michael Duglas movie? I'm starting to get like that. Starting to lose it. I really am.

And it's not for any particular reason, I didn't get fired or nothing, I'm just having an extremely hard time dealing with life.

I'm trying to keep calm and cool on the bike. I dont' mind dying, I just don't want to live with totalling my bike. That would REALLY bring me over the edge.

THis is not a cry for help, I'm merely saying I'm so fustrated with everything, I could scream.

Now, this site might turn to sh!ts. Sorry, I'm a pessimist at heart, and can't imagine it getting any better. Plus, I've got the worst luck, so I probably am jinxing this board jsut being around.

Thank gawd I can't easily obtain a gun, or I might just go postal.

Thanks for reading.

Be fast or be last.

I can relate...although...riding my bike on days that I feel like that helps me a lot.

I think I understand your position. Thanks for the post. Hope you can find a good friend and chat some, and also a job...

Best wishes to you in your search!

P.S> You're worth much, much more than your bike. A single person can make a huge difference in the lives of many. (There are many movies that depict this as apposed to falling down.)

Luck favors those who are prepared.

Re: falling down

Do scream.

Let it the #### out.

Channel that rage into something.

...or you will pop, and just five explosive minutes will almost certainly result in a lifetime of regret.

Do you have people that care about you, or people that you think used to care about you? Good, keep them in mind, remembering that they'll suffer at least as much as you.

Cheer the hell up man. Sounds like you've got serious tunnel vision....

Oh, one last thing, I'll need your mail address to send the invoice

Your thread is very spooky...I believe you should get some help or talk to a close friend. On the other hand this may just be bad day for you.

Re: falling down

Dude. *You have gotta come out for a long ride with us. *It puts the world right.

A few beers goes a long way to helping that out as well. *

BTW, Toronto traffic pushes me over the edge too. *Ever feel like getting off your bike while stuck in rush hour traffic and just pounding the guy behind you because he has been riding your back tire for the past 20 minutes? *Or that guy that cuts you off then gives you the finger when you honk?

As for the rest... is it really worth going postal over? *Have a few beers, share a few laughs, and spend some time with friends/family. *Seriously... I recommend a few beers.

[Edit: Remember, beer is the cause and SOLUTION to all life's problems. I had a friend in Engineering and she was so stressed out first year univ. and almost failed out (never drank). Her dad made her promise that she would go out for one night of drinking and fun each week - he'd foot the bill. Her stress level was reduced to a reasonable level and she completed the rest of her degree without incident. Sometimes, you just need to party to realize life's problems are never as big as they seem.]

I can understand how you feel. *Go to the gym and work out. *Practice martial arts. *Go to the gun range and go postal on some paper targets. A nice MELLOW ride might help. And having a FEW drinks with some close friends is usually uplighting.

BTW If the gun range thing isn't possible go to the arcade. They have plenty of shooting games. Some have really cool effects with blood and body parts flying all over the place.

Re: falling down

Oh yes, the other thing that is good therapy... find a friend who is worse off than you are and listen to their stories. I find myself always grateful for what I have after I hear what other's must live with.

In particular... This friend I know was;
Married at 14,
Raped at 16 (I guess you don't have marital rape laws in Cali?)
Pregnant 9 months later
Beaten & abused until I met her when we were 19
She then ran away (to Canada), leaving her 'husband' who kept the child
After hearing that, my problems seem so small.

Re: falling down

Honestly, here is what you need to do.

Make a trip to Vancouver, get some beers, some smoke (if you are into that) and then go pay one of the nice ladies for a sleepover. It's the same thing Cowboys used to do in the 19th century

I understand your position, just kind of tired of your environment and need a new one. Maybe look for another job, and perhaps a new city to live in. One change to your environment could really make a big difference. Perhaps also, go see a good head Dr. Whatever you do, get help from someone here or a friend and stay with us bro, please.

Re: falling down

Well I didn't want it to be a 'Poor Asiliat' thread. I really didn't mean to scare anyone, and definitely not looking for pity.

I'll behave from now on. I promise.

Deathly afraid of doctors, so I'll pass on that thanks all the same.

I swear, I'm normal, just having a bad month.

I think partly is b/c I'm working so much, and don't get to ride enough. Once the weather stays nice past 5pm, I'll be good to go.

Sorry guys if I sound f-ed up.

Re: falling down

Yes, they can, but that's neither likely nor funny.

Seriously, find an outlet, get some perspective, with help if need be.

Re: falling down

A head dr. isn't really the same as a medical dr. if that makes any sense. You might find a hot female shrink that could do wonders for you

Re: falling down

Well, look on the bright side, you're home, you haven't been in the ocean for 10 of the last 14 months dreaming of riding. Life is short, don't let crap get the best of you. It could always be worse, guess I'm just an optimistic person though
