Re: Blackberry

I assume you mean the hand-held. In any case, I do not have one but my dad loves his. He has had MANY different types over the past few years for work when he's on travel.

Yeah he wishes my mom was that easy to shut off. Seriously he has no issues that I know of, he loves the thing almost as much as his golf clubs.

Re: Blackberry

Are you going to buy one from the Blackberry store?

Is a paradigm worth 20 cents?

Re: Blackberry

Hey ND. I asked a few guys from the south and all 3 said the same thing, the buttons were too small.

I asked how you could make them bigger (the buttons) without making the whole unit bigger??

One dude said, "If they can put a man on the moon..............", then I hung up.

Thanks for the input everyone. I'm strongly considering one. I've only had my T720 about 8 months, but for the last 2-3 it's been a nightmare. Biggest POS phone I've ever owned

Re: Blackberry

Guys around here have them, and love them to death, until the first 2AM outage, and then from that point on they hate the things. Maybe it's just the way we use them that makes people hate them so much. They're called Leashberries around here.

Re: Blackberry

Love it, best device out there for corporate email. I get emails as quickly on my Blackberry as I do in Outlook. It saves me a ton of cell minutes also since most of my coworkers will send me an email now when I am on the road.

Re: Blackberry

You're gonna hold that big thing up to your head? How are you supposed to jot notes with it there? Mental telepathy notes maybe?

Why not just get a better phone (you should have asked about it and I would have told you it was a POS) and you can connect it to you existing organizer. They make wired connectors unless you get bluetooth units.

I use my cell phone to connect to the Internet with my laptop and organizer. Works great. And, if I want to carry light, I leave the pda behind.

I just can't see being tied into one piece of electronics for two different functions. And, if you don't like the service the carrier provides, then you're stuck with an expensive partially functioning device.

Some phones have datebook functionalities built into them. You'd have that and the phone book. Unless you need more functionalities, why invest in an expensive unit?

What are you going to use it for?

I depends on how much you need to be connected to email. I travel a few days a week for work and get about 200 emails a day. The Blackberry saves me tons of time because I can do email throughout the day. I have tested many differant devices for my company and I haven't found anything even close to a RIM device for email.
