Re: Clip: Cop chases and stops minivan.

what a bunch of crap, a guy cant even go out and get drunk with his buddy, and then drive home. Those cops should have known if he wasnt going to stop for the red and blue flashing lights, that everything was okay.

Then the cop had to go and crash his mom and dads mini van, just for a little drinking and driving.

That guy never would've crashed that van had it not been for the cops.

Sheesh, cops are so horrible, now I know where Daltrey is coming from

heh, I kept thinking winamp wasn't buffering it right

Cool video, first time boxed the guy - pretty cool. Am I correct in understanding the 'blocking' car was an off-duty officer?

No. That is one of our unmarked cars.

I was watching the vid thinking, "**** those tax payers are going to be pissed he wrecked the cop car... WAIT a minute... that's near MY place! WTF?!?" Man, I go away for a few days and all hell breaks loose. What does the city do without me?

And I don't know why the hell the guy is speaking like a new news reporter...

Re: Clip: Cop chases and stops minivan.

Yeah, noticed they cut the scenes where the guy was probably getting the Rodney King beat-down? Heh.

Yeah, that's only like 65mph. They're trying to make it "dramatic"

Not necessarily. If they had omitted the speed from the story, people
would want to know...so they reported (we'll assume accurately so)
the speed.

If they wanted to "make it dramatic" they might have reported that
speeds were over 200 km/...would you have preferred that?

Re: Clip: Cop chases and stops minivan.

well 200kph would be wrong. That section of the highway has a posted speed limit of 100kph. Saying they were "doing a little more than speed limit." just doesn't have the same impact.

Anyway, it's still an amazing (IMO) stop.
