Saturday morning we leave for vacation. Leaving here (we live on the Canadian side across the border from Detroit) Saturday morning to go to Montreal. Sunday we go to Moncton NB. Once we get past Montreal, we are in foreign biking land to Wifey as that's the furthest she's ever been on a bike. Next week, we plan on touring PEI, that Bay of Fundy, and Cape Breton Island with a trip around the Cabot Trail (CCW direction, of course) before we do the return trip with 2 nights in Montreal. (Canadian Grand Prix weekend.) We are planning on coming back through Maine. I did that route last year and had a woody almost the whole way between the Canadian border and I-95.
The couple going with us, he rides an '00 Sprint ST and she rides an '00 SV650, and they've never been past Montreal either so it'll be an experience for them too.
I figure the trip will total between 6000 and 6500 kms. The most Wifey and I have ever done together is 2000 in 3 days, so it'll be a trying experience, I'm sure.
She's also got to learn how to pack. She started last night, and with all she had out, I figure I'll have to buy a new toothbrush every night 'cause there won't be enough room for me to carry one.
Anyway, sorry to ramble on, but this is a trip I've been looking forward to for a while and as it gets closer, I'm getting more and more excited.
