It seems too good to be true...any way they could send me a bill, and then on to collections if I don't pay?

Re: free Wired Magazine subscription

It's a marketing ploy, you figure every month there are at lease 5 outdated magazines that get thrown away multiply that by a conservative number for news stand in say...each state then by your 50 states and do that for 12 months, Iím sure that's a **** load of magazines that didn't sell @ 3.00 a pop. since it didnít cost but a few pennies (on average) to print the mags they're not really hurting. If they send a few free subscription out they figure the law of averages will work and bring in some loyal customers for the following years subscription. Kinda like the drug game the 1st one's free cuz you know the people will be back (old skool drug game)

these are just my thoughts........

youíve been a lovely audience ÖÖ donít forget to tip the bartenders.

Nah, this is what, the fourth or fifth free subscription that I've posted over the last year or so? The others have worked out, this one's no different. The publishers claim increased readership, and in turn get more money from advertisers, no doubt more than covering their costs. Everybody wins... except trees, they're people too

I now have 4 years of free subscriptions to STUFF and MAXIM because of posts like this one. Not one bill have I seen in the past year and a half.

Now, I'll be getting WIRED and I don't even know what the mag is about.

Free stuff is cool.

Re: free Wired Magazine subscription

I've never signed up for it, but I've been getting Playboy magazine for over 10 years (yes TEN years) now without any bills. Just started showing up. During that time I've moved no less than 5 times, and they keep following me.

Re: free Wired Magazine subscription

We found a site like this once... and my buddy got about 100mags and catalogs each month. How'd that happen? It appears he likes everything from marriage catalogs to sears to adult mags...
