Dilbert Cartoon:

To the optimist, the glass is half full. To the pessimist, the glass is half empty. To the engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

Re: Dilbert Cartoon:

Is that an actual Dilbert cartoon? It's funny either way, but I'm kinda surprised he'd say "who's my bitch?"

Re: Dilbert Cartoon:

If a 52 year old jewish yenta is your idea of hot.....then yes....very!

This year was her 23rd year at the company. She's been in IT forever.....and hasn't learned anything. Only OS she knows is win98. Only uses lotus notes, gets lost with Outlook. She doesn't know anything about the internals of a computer. So of course she would be the helpdesk lead.

When she had her 23yr anniversary at the company, I turned to her and said "Hey, I was 3 when you started working here!". So much for that raise. The other guy in help desk still chuckles about that at least once a day.....I swear he's going to kill her before I do.

Seriously though, I feel your pain. What is WITH companies putting, or leaving, such incompetents in important positions?!
