Fradulent Paypal email received

This morning I checked my email and see two emails indicating they're from PayPal.

Something wasn't 'right' about them so I checked it out further. It appears that when you follow their link, there's another site that looks like PayPal but really isn't. The source code indicates that the page you're eventually taken to is www.dcsteams.com. I looked at that page and someone could be fooled into thinking it was an actual PayPal screen because it looks almost like it.

Anyway, just wanted y'all to know about this so you don't get yourself into trouble. I've already reported the incident to PayPal.

Here's what the email said:

Dear Paypal valued member,

account we have issued this warning message.

Wow! Thanks for the warning. Internet, e-mail and telephone scammers make me sick.

hondagal, i got the same one a few hours ago !?

I don't kill flies but I like to mess with their minds. I hold them above globes. They freak out and yell, 'Whoa, I'm way too high!'

Anytime you get an e-mail from paypal, ebay, etc, always use your own shortcut/favorites to get there and log in. Then you'll be safe.

Re: Fradulent Paypal email received

Update: Received a confirmation from PayPal that the email was indeed a fraud. Nice turn-around time from them too. I didn't expect a reply but was pleasantly pleased that I got one.

They're a great company. I used know a few folks who worked there. Started out right here in Oh-me-haw and remained here for years until eBay bought and moved 'em to San Jose a couple years back.
