Olhausen pool tables....opinions?

I ordered a 9' Olhausen pool table. The feel of the table, the cushions, the reputation of the company, the factory reps, and the quality of the construction really impressed me. I was all set to order a Brunswick table, because they had styles I liked. I didn't know Olhausen offered as many choices of finish as they do, because they don't list everything at their web site. I found out that you can customize them much more than Brunswick, or most tables from other manufacturers after talking to a company rep at a local billiard store. I'm getting a 9' table, brushed aluminum, with a natural maple rail. I'm pretty stoked about it! This is the first piece of what will be a fully finished basement(pool table, full bar, foosball table, gas fireplace, bathroom, kick-ass sound system, large TV, etc....)

Does anyone here have an Olhausen, or have any of you had any experience with the company or their tables?

Very cool bubba! They were having a special sale on these at Gebhardts in Hazelton PA. A factory rep was at each of their locations. This helped me alot, because he was able to give me info on new features that the salespeople at the store didn't know. He was also able to show me what my table will look like by contacting one of the owners of the company. They have a computer program to build your own table, but it is not yet available online. He emailed me the computer generated picture of my table, and the rest is history!

Let me know how you make out!

Bring it on chump!

Actually, I won't be taking delivery for a while. I need time to frame out the basement. I would like to have it fully framed before they deliver and set up the table, if possible. If I can't stand the wait, I'll have them set it down on the concrete and start playing!

If you play your cards right, I might even let you come over for an azz whoopin!

I got the "Monarch" 9' table. It cost $2800 plus tax. Total cost was under $3000. They include free delivery and setup. This includes leveling and balancing the table. Also included is a wall rack, a set of 4 cues, a set of high quality balls, standard rack, and chalk.

Re: Olhausen pool tables....opinions?

Got one back at my mom's house. Excellent build quality- the slate table makes all the difference. The bumpers, though, are pretty touch i.e. they will bounce the ball quite a distance with very little hit. By far probably one of the best pool tables I've ever played on. I wouldn't second guess your purchase at all. Wish I had the cash for one here in college.
