HAI!

WOOHOO! Ms. Shrub and I are the proud owners of 2 plane tickets to Tokyo, Japan. December 17th to January 4th.

We have two friends that are over there teaching "Engrish" to Japanese High School students over there. We are going to stay with them some and run around some. Anyone want me to pick up a grey market bike or 2 for them? Maybe an RC211v...oh, I guess you could just wait till they arrive at Laguna next year.

Fwew, this is my 3rd x-mas outside of the country in 5 years. Yeehaw.

Re: HAI!

Nice. I'd love to see Japan someday.

Don't forget to check out the mini-racing scene over there...lots of stuff available that we don't get here. Talk to Minoru at PC for things not to miss...if he's still racing there.

Re: HAI!

Minoru is still there. I raced his son 2 weeks ago. He is getting faster every weekend.

Re: HAI!

How feasible do you think a track day would be at Suzuka? Not even sure how possible that is.

Tell him Don said Hi when you see him again. He and I started racing at the same time and were endurance partners. He's a great guy.

On one trip to Japan, he came back with TT91's before anyone else had even heard of them.

I have no idea about Suzuka...I'd imagine it's pretty difficult to get onto that track.

Re: HAI!

Nice! I'm in Tokyo right now, and always enjoy my visits.

Things I've done here and would recommend:

Nankai MC shops (order all the mini parts you can think of, and some you probably can't)

I can't remember the name right now, but there is an MC district full of shops, it's pretty fun to walk around

Akihabara: famous electronics district

Asakusa: old town area with cool temples

Teppanyaki with Kobe beef, very expensive, awesome food.

Re: HAI!

Any chance to ride out there, cold or not, I'd do it. Just ride easier.

2 people so far have told me to bring them back soiled girls panties from a vending machine. Do they really have that stuff there?
