Reply vs. Reply all

Dearl lord this kills me!

Anyone have any clever tutorials to teach your co-workers about the difference?

I work in a signifantly large company, and large distro emails get sent out daily...by the truck load. Then someone has an opinion on the matter and does a reply all. Then someone has an opinion to idiot #1's opinion, and on and on and on...it just fills my inbox when I get tons of email anyway.

Any help or just perhaps some sympathy here?

Re: Reply vs. Reply all

They did this one time at work, with a damn jpec/attachment that was huge.
Some jackass replied to it and it went on and on, finally, I told them it wasn't work related, and to quit doing it, damn attachment was huge. Upon which, some manager/director told me I just did the same thing, pointing the finger at me too. I laughed and told him I had to send it to everyone to get them to stop, and that it was a waste of company $, because they were tying up the exchange server nationwide and holding up work. It was some warning email about leaving your key on when you fill up at the gas station, to not do it and so forth, totally unrelated to work, whatsoever. The manager that got ticked told me he thought that I wasn't concerned for our employees safety and tried to belittle me in email, trying to throw his clout around. I replied, copied my manager, and asked him if he thought we should send out large jpeg images once a day about cancer, smoking, aids, terrorism around the world, etc, that way we could just halt work altogether. He didn't reply, nor did he contact my manager. My manager laughed his ass off and told me he call that guy's boss if need be as it was a waste the company's time and $.

booth23,

Tell me, do you work in the semiconductor field by any chance? Sounds like the same stuff that gets thrown around here. With the same response I might add regarding safety and if you don't take it seriously.

Setup a forum system or if your using Exchange Public Folders (Domino has the same no?). That way they can bitch until thier hearts content and everyone else can get on with it.
