Family

Anyone have great relationships with their family? I used to...we were all really close (dad/mom/sister (younger, 24)). But I am just growing tired with the hurtful things that my sister says sometimes.

Seems the fam has drifted appart a bit.

Team Honda - well sorta...

I feel you there. My family used to be alot tighter although sometimes I feel like the outsider since I tend to distance myself b/c of various things a few of which are with my sister as well (23)

Re: Family

Nope. The last time I had a warm and fuzzy family, I was about 15/16, half my life ago.

Re: Family

My sister and I had a falling out about a year ago while my wife was still pregnant. Since we have communicated very little, but a little more over the last few months. I imagine things will be better over the next year or so...

Re: Family

Family is over-rated. Good friends are hard to find. My brother and I were very close growing up. Now, he rarely calls and when I do it seems that we have nothing to talk about. I am more close with a mate I have know since I was in 3rd grade.

Damn, that hit home. My sister and I don't even talk anymore. I got tired of her misconceptions and baseless judgements. Before now, we weren't even that close anyway. She doesn't know who I am but she thinks she knows how I think and she holds her flawed view as fact, so trying to reason with her is futile.

Re: Family

Me and my brother are tight that guy keeps me laughing most of our phone conversation. Me and my little sister (21) years younger than me talk about PS2 and not to trust boys

Re: Family

I am VERY blessed in that. While over the years there have been disagreements I have the greatest Mom and Dad. Both brothers are great as are my sister in laws. My brother, in Mi, I talked to him and his sons just last night. Him and his wife are planning on coming to visit and run the Huntsville marathon in Dec. I have been to Cedar Point rollercoaster riding with my sister in law and she is so cool I sometimes screw up and call her my sister. My other brother lives here and we speak or visit almost weekly. While I have less in common with his wife she is a very kind hearted and great lady. The only gripe with him is he is thinking chopper not sport bike. Both my grandfathers were an example for me in life and my Grandmother on mom's side is a fabulous lady that is very nice to visit with. Unfortunately my grandmother on Dad's side died when I was little so the memories are sparse (but good). Also I have lots of great cousins and aunts and uncles. I could go on all night but will spare you all

In short though I have to say I wish everyone could have the family I do.

All this talk of younger sisters and no pics. I for one, am disapointed.

My family resides on the East coast. Have no desire to return there. After 21 yrs in the service, hardly ever getting home cause of one thing or another we are what we are. I think they get together quite often though.
