Re: Will this buff out?

Is that from that new show Gimp My Ride?

Weird that he was doing 80+ "uncontrollably" through a residential neighborhood yet his friend was there (assumedly out of another vehicle) and witnessed the whole thing, said his car flew this and that...blah blah blah. Or he stopped long enough to let his friend out, then stuck the throttle? or his friend bailed just before the jump so he could witness it? hmmm...

The sooner he starts owning up to his shitty driving the cheaper his life will be. He should be gottdamned lucky no one was hurt and be forced to drive a 3 cylinder Metro until he's 25.

I only hope for his sake that ECU is in parts and pieces in the sea by now, or the last 20 seconds of this incident are debuting at the adjusters office tomorrow AM.

Re: Will this buff out?

Good timing on this thread...

Mine isn't nearly THAT bad, but I did crunch my car up last night.

I'm hoping NH can get down to the garage today to take some pictures...I'll post them if I can.

Re: Will this buff out?

Actually a few years back I was on the recieving end of just such a thing. His throttle stuck also. I will say though the kid was good enough to come tell me in person as soon as he got back from the hospital and I home. Wanted to strangle him but it is not like I have not ever screwed up royal bluely.

Must obey the sheep dog

Re: Will this buff out?

I’m sure the insurance company will have the car checked out to see if there is any evidence or possibility that the throttle could have been stuck wide open.

I call BS on this one, he states he started the car and backed it up after the accident, that should rule out mechanical problem (pedal sticking to the floor) but he claims he tried to lift the pedal up from the floor with his foot? Unless he was trying to engage his cruise control at the same time? And his friend just happened to be there watching the whole thing unfold…….

Re: Will this buff out?

Was he trying to jump the hill and his friend had a camera at the ready?

I drove a new WRX for the first time last night. Fun little car.

No way he'll get away with it. He'll have lawyers from Subaru and his insurance company well up his ass if the car wasn't broke.

Re: Will this buff out?

It's probably not the best idea to be discussing his situation on an internet forum.
