Helmet storage

No, this isn't a NWS topic

I was putting my helmet away today and realized that I have been using something for so long that I take it for granted. Just thought I'd share.

I put the helmet in the bag that came with it, and then store both in one of my old flight helmet bags. It gives extra protection and has pockets for gloves, glasses, shields, etc... Great for transporting, has handles too.

I've never organized a group buy, but might be willing if there is enough interest. I'd need help with how to set one up. I could probably even get my connection to embroider it too.

Before taking that step, I'd encourage those interested to check out your local Army/Navy surplus store and see if they have any for sale. They might even have used ones. Cost should be around $20 new.

Email me if you'd like a pic. [email protected]

I've got my flight helmet w/oxygen mask up there. I think I'd be pushing it by trying to store the bike helmet there too. My wife is cool, but can only put up with so much vanity

Re: Helmet storage

I clean and wax mine. Then slip it into its pouch and into the box it came in.

Bikes and women - both have nice curves.
