Nissan Titan?

Does anyone here own or has anyone driven the Titan. What do/did you think of it? I'm looking into getting a fullsize soon and the F-250 just isn't an option anymore. I drove the new F-150 and was pleased and now I want to check out the Titan. It's between the Ford and the Nissan as I will never own a Chevy or Dodge.

Re: Nissan Titan?

GMC I didn't like the F150 interior. But the Titan engines are made in Huntsville

Re: Nissan Titan?

I do not drive a Titan, and probably never will, but here is a quote from the last edition of CAR magazine I found quite funny:

"Big doesn't cover it. The Titan, built in Canton, Mississippi, is the Top Trump star card, redneck mothership and axis of evil rolled into one. Everything is oversize-the door mirrors are like TV sets. It's 18 foot long and weighs 2308kg. Crash it and you'd likely dent the planet before rearranging the Titan's front bumper"

Re: Nissan Titan?

I driven one...twice. Loved it! I have not driven a new F-150 though. I like Nissan over Ford so I'm a little biased anyway.

Re: Nissan Titan?

Buddy just bought one a couple weeks ago. It's pretty cool except that it's still considered a "half-ton truck." I think the load is like 1500 lbs or something. He put helper springs on it already. It's got some serious motor in it, but I don't know if it's truly designed for heavy loads, towing or otherwise. I don't know the specs on the 4x4 though. Great stock sound system, comfy, rides real high, etc. His came with a cargo tray in the back that has rails for sliding stuff in and out. Nice since the bed is so high up.

To the optimist, the glass is half full. To the pessimist, the glass is half empty. To the engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

Re: Nissan Titan?

At the most I'll haul two dirtbikes either in the bed or on a small two bike trailer.

WetShrub: how was the noise inside the cab? I want something that's fairly quiet in the cab. The new F-150 was pretty quiet in comparison to all my full size trucks I have had.

Re: Nissan Titan?

From my buddy:

Quote:
Yes, it is quite except for the exhaust note. I don't think it is to intrusive, but it might be to some. I did not drive the F150, so I don't know how it compares noise wise. Both are nice trucks, but the Titan has more power.
Hope that helps. I can get you in touch with him if you like.

Re: Nissan Titan?

I have the Armada and have been really happy with it. For how big the truck is, this thing hauls a$$. Handles well for it's size (my wife drives it without any problems and she usually drives sports cars). Towed a couple of bikes at 90-100 mph like they weren't even there. Satisfied so far

The standard is rated for a tow capacity of like 7500 lbs. and the tow package is rated for 9200 lbs. How is that not designed for heavy loads? An F-150 isn't rated that high.

Re: Nissan Titan?

Rydman had one at Grattan, I didn't ride in it but he showed off it's features. I think it's a great truck, the cargo tie down rail system is well thought out, little storage compartments everywhere, pretty neat. P.M. him... I think he stops by from time to time.

Re: Nissan Titan?

I test drove one, just once. If there was a truck in my future, the Titan would be it.
