New Seti-type program, help me beat my dad...

My dad found a new SETI-type program, but instead of decoding packets from space, this decodes medical packets for scientific research. For instance, right now mine is running a program that is decoding human gene proteins... Anyhow, my dad showed it to me and he started a team on the VFR mailing list, and I want to beat him and his team. They only have 17 members going at it so it shouldnt be hard. And for those of you that aren't familiar with SETI, it runs in the background, or you can set it to run only when the PC is idle (screensaver) and uses little to no resources. If you want to sign up, go to Team Fireblades.org and join up! Lets show them VFR old farts how its done....

I don't kill flies but I like to mess with their minds. I hold them above globes. They freak out and yell, 'Whoa, I'm way too high!'

Nope, no work required, it downloads the packets of raw data, and uploads the completed info by itself. You can schedule times for it to do this or it can do it whenever. It is totally automated.

That was your Dad's team I read about on the VFR List? It looks like they're kicking butt, even over the IBM boys!

I used to run SETI... then I figured out that when running, it would take up about 100% of the CPU, keeping it hot hot hot, for hours, days, weeks, and months at a time. Besides stressing the PC internals, the extra load eats up some serious additional wattage, so... not exactly free
