home phone help

somebody someplace told me about this but i can not find it

I want to use the existing phone lines in the house and hook a cell phone up to it by a base unit or something and run regular phones from the jacks to use them on the cell.

anybody??

Cingular has a thing where your mobile number can become your home number when you dock your phone into a cradle, is that what you're talking about?

maybe. does it uses the existing lines? I am just looking to branch the phone to all the rooms

i was looking for something generic and not assigned to a particular cell company. if it has to be a certain company it would be verizon

have no land line and want to be able to have the ringer ring into other rooms so if i dont have the cell or if it is charging at night then I can hear it or even better yet answer it.. plus i can run a fax number off of it without having to pay for efax

It's called a POTS adapter. Here's one that I just found through a Google search, and there are others out there as well. I've never used one though, so I have no idea how well it works.

i found others after contacting the company. he pointed me to the company that has further developed the hardware
