battery tender on car?

I figured I'd put this in general discussion rather than off topic so I could see if I can get as much knowledgable answers as possible. I hardly ever drive my car now since I really don't have any place to go and my friends usually drive so the other day I went to drive it and the battery was dead (cause it hadn't bee used in awhile and its cold out) so I jumped it and it fired right up easily. Well I figured since my motorcycle battery is all fully charged I can take the charger off for a little while and throw it on the car. so my question is, is it ok to for the charger to be out in the cold? the instructions say nothing about it being in cold being bad but does say it shouldn't get wet or anything like that so its safely under the hood where it'll stay dry. The only thing it does say is never charge a frozen battery but I don't think its frozen so I should be safe there. It's actually not a battery tender but a Yuasa Holeshot battery maintainer (same thing though). Anyone think it'll be a problem?

if you can't convince them, confuse them.

Nope, just make sure it's waterproof or you keep it dry.

yup its under the hood away from the edge which might possibly drip some water but shouldn't because there isa drip rail built into it, besides its too cold for any water anyway. just snow and ice now. thanks
