Re: Laptop Memory

Hi, guys:
I just upgrade my laptop's memory with 2 GB (the original was 512MB, can be max up to 2 GB). I bought it over the kingston and cost me around 2 grand to do it. Since I am doing multimedia editing for my customer, I need to beef up my system. Anyways, then I found out this guy on ebay with similar but even better (Chips on Board) technology and way much cheaper. Damn, I am going to return my Kingston (hopefully I can) and bought this one on the ebay. I should've look on ebay first then shop on the market. Here is the Link on ebay, check it out. *Hopefully, u guys don't waste too much $$$ like I did w/o looking for other goodies on the ebay

Re: Laptop Memory

He has a 0 rating and has only been on ebay since July 14th. I think I'd go with the name brand memory myself.

Re: Laptop Memory

be careful when you buy memory like that. it probably is not spec'd for your machine by the manufacturer. It could be made with substandard parts, or it may even be overclocked.

I thought Kingston was high when I bought the GB for my PC. But then I looked and saw that it was made for the machine, was not overclocked (like the competitors) and also was cheaper than buying from Dell.

Re: Laptop Memory

Thx guys. I email him some questions regarding the manufacture of the chips, it is actually made by Simens from Germany. I paid $1149.00 from Kingston, that's how I felt ripped off big time. Btw, he said it's quality gurantee. Well, anyways, I just want to shared some good info w/ u guys. I should've looked for some other places b4 ####ed my money. I don't want u guys waste too much green like I did. I can save extra $$$ for my blades right.....:-)

Re: Laptop Memory

He either doesn't understand english, or there is a lot of bullshit going on in the ad. *(looks like both to me)

The fact that Siemens makes the chips means nothing.

I'd say you were better off with the Kingston stuff.

Re: Laptop Memory

The only place for memory....

EDIT: It's also his first sale too. I'd stay far away from that guy. Let somebody else get burned first
