Herculiner roll-on bed liner

Has anyone used this product? Does it work? How hard is it to install? Would you reccomend it? It cost $90 for a gallon that covers a 6 foot bed twice. You can also purchase a UV sealer for $20 extra.

Line-X wants to charge $500 plus tax to spray their product. I connot afford that.

Re: Herculiner roll-on bed liner

I had a buddy that used it. Its a good quality product. But Line-X charges $500 for another reason. The application part is a biotch. First you have to scuff the bed up a little (if its new) to give the product something to bite onto. Then you have to clean it. CLEAN IT VERY WELL!!! And not with soap and water. Any dirt or debris underneath can cause the liner to lift and chip. Then you have to mask off the bed to be sure not to apply the stuff anywhere it shouldn't be. I.e. hindges, seam between the tailgate and bed, etc.

If your brave enough to try, good luck. I almost did it, then chickened out at the last minute.

You're getting raped! I paid $350 for mine a year or so ago. It's a Husky, same as Rhino so they say. Worth every penny. Highest quote in this area was $400.

Re: Herculiner roll-on bed liner

Heard a few complaints about rhino and herculiner not sticking or chiping or turning out like crap. I paid $400 for my line-X on a 8ft f150 styleside bed.

It has seen a few pallets pushed across it with 2500lbs of grass. The only thing that has happened is a small chip on my tailgate about 2mm round.

Keep in mind a do over isnt going to turn out as nice, cheap or as easy as say a linex done right the first time.

Re: Herculiner roll-on bed liner

I coated the inside of my wrangler with herculiner. The prep was the hard part, making sure everything is clean and scuffing up the surface makes all the difference. Rolling on was easy. The stuff looks great, cleans up real easy, protects great against rust and, like you said was less than $100. I've never tried it in a bed but it's lasted 4 years in my jeep and still looks good.
