Is that one of those Ninja bikes?

Went to pick my wife up from work the other day, 'cuz her car was in the shop, and pulled into a parking spot next to a 2003 RC51. Guy comes out, starts getting his gloves out of the trunk and I hang out my window and...

Me: Hey, nice bike.
Him: Thanks.
Me: Yep, always wanted to get me one of those babies (as I put my hand up, motioning for my son, who's in the passenger seat, to keep his mouth shut).
Him: Oh yeah (very uninterestedly)
Me: So, is that one of those Ninja 750s?
Him: Well, it's a one thous...

...then I cut him off and told him I was only messing with him. Gave him a good laugh.

Classic. Do you know how many times I've tried to tell someone what kind of bike I have and they say, "oh, one of those Ninja bikes?" I try to tell them that's like calling a cotton swab a Q-Tip.

Re: Is that one of those Ninja bikes?

Feel fortunate that you do not own one of those Ninjia bikes. My friend has a ZX10. Monday he noticed where the tail light meets the undertail was seperating. Upon inspection, the piece was held together with a piece of velcro. Tape does not hold up well in Florida because of the humitity. I told him he should have bought a Honda.

Re: Is that one of those Ninja bikes?

If someone asks me what I ride I usually just answer with "a Honda". If they push a bit further and ask what kind of Honda, and I tell them, I'll usually get... "That's one of them lay down bikes isn't it?"

More often I get... "Couldn't afford a Harley huh?"

Life always looks better through bugs on a face shield.

Answer: "Oh yea, I do that to, it's OK even when you jump off.... if your chute works" then smile and wander off.

Must obey the sheep dog

Hmmm, let me think, two semi-comfy, fast, fun bikes or one big heavy overpriced "Car missing two wheels" I think that you made the right choice.

Dont get me wrong I love hardleys, dad has one and always will have one but...I have seen the light and wont go back any time soon.
