I hope those poor poverty stricken players and owners are getting their share of the cost so they can put some dry cheese, mouldy bread and tepid water on the table for their ragged clothed families.

We host a weekly, "out of work hockey players only" soup kitchen.

Re: Hockey

I just got turned onto NHL 2k4, finding it to be a great way to pass time. I'd like to try 2k5, what are the improvments?/????

I haven't had time to get through very much of it, but the improvements are minor so far. If the game was $50, I probably would still be playing 2k4, but for $20 I couldn't resist.

-Graphics are polished a bit more.
-Fighting is still kind of weak, but 10x better than last year. Tension meter builds up for both teams, resulting in a fight when full.
-Overall presentation is a little better,
-The franchise mode has supposedly improved (I wouldn't know, since I don't use it.)
-The goalies are a little easier to score on.
-Party mode that is online capable.
-Right stick now generates cheap shots that may or may not get away with.

I think I may have mistaken the game I am playing with the one you are describing, I am currently playing EA Sports NHL 2004....last time I had a hockey game was for SNES so I am not up to date with the current titles.

Re: Hockey

ESPN NHL 2K5 should be a better game.

www.gamespot.com gives some pretty good reviews
