Closer game than I expected. Won $125 in the pool so I didn't care who really won!

Re: A message from the Patriots....

WOOOOOOO HOOOOO!

Our (the patriots, yeah I know it isn't mine but **** you, I'm still a fan) offence sucked the first half. Good thing our (screw you) defense was in the game. T.O. actually made the game a bit nailbiting. Too bad the rest of the eagles sucked ass! I think this was one of the crappiest games played by New England but we still managed to squeak through. Eagles played fine but how many big turnovers and plays did we (yeah yeah, I don't play for them but blow me, I'm still part of we) screw up by stupid holding penalties?

Good game, heck of an effort by the Eagles, they were merely outclassed and outplayed by the ALMIGHTY PATRIOTS, now bow suckers!!!!

Re: A message from the Patriots....

Some thoughts in random order:

- Congrats to the Patriots.
- If you watched the game, you know the Eagles beat themselves.
- Owens wasn't cocky; he was just great.
- The Patriots' run has been impressive, but it is likely over at 3 titles in 4 years. The achievement absolutely puts them among the best teams ever - and it's especially impressive given free agency, salary cap, etc. - but I cannot see them being able to sustain next year. They just won't be able to do it after losing both coordinators.
- McNabb is MUCH better than he played in SB39. Call it nerves or whatever you like. He just played poorly. Had McNabb played as he is capable of, the outcome would have been quite the opposite.
- I am laughing my arse off at "BladeRider"...

- McNabb is MUCH better than he played in SB39. Call it nerves or whatever you like. He just played poorly. The INT at the 1 was forced and should have been another Eagles TD to make it 14-0. Had McNabb played as he is capable of, the outcome would have been quite the opposite. If you think that the Patriots were playing at the top of their game, your freakin nuts. Neither team played 100% (suprising being the superbowl and all) both teams with all their players at 100% I'll take the Patriots all day, the NFC sucked this year so the Eagles didnt play any teams on the Pats level, when the did they lost, ifs, ands or buts dont get you points in the Superbowl

Laugh all you want dude, I can do that too wait until after the game and be right every time. Pats still won!

I don't know what game you were watching but the Eagles didn't beat themselves, football is won at the line and after the 1st quarter the Pats were pushing around the eagles on both sides of the ball. Teams looks like they beat themselves all the time when they play The Pats, that's the way game plan is drawn up. Matt freakin Light owned Kearse all day, he was my biggest fear on the Eagles D. Westbrook couldn't run because by the time he got the ball the eagles line was backing into him. And by the way I think The Pats would have covered or pushed had Eugene Wilson not gotten hurt. He helps corner on all the deep routes, I believe he would have been in the end zone to stop that blown coverage on McNabb's last TD pass. I'm not sure who was playing safety on that play probably Dexter Reid, but he should have been in the end zone.

WooHoo!!! Pats are Champs again!

I wholeheartedly agree on both counts.

Only difference is, until they lose, I'm stepping out of New England's way. They'll have to be the preseason favorite to win the sonofabitch again.

Re: A message from the Patriots....

Speaking of next year yes I do think the Pats will have a tough time but I think Brady has more in him during his career.
I was thinking what would be a good fit for Moss? Since the rumor is he might be on the block. The Jets? Who is closer then them with a good QB and could use a reciever like Moss? I'm just saying...

They may be, just out of respect - and because who else can step it up? For all the talk about how strong the AFC is, it really isn't. This year, it was New England and Pittsbugh and Indy, all on the same level. If the Colts had played New England in the dome, then it would have been Pittsburgh and Philly in the Super Bowl. Beyond those three AFC powers, the rest of the conference sucked. The Jets and San Diego had moments of brilliance, but ultimately don't have the talent.

You have to wonder what Indy will do to get over the hump. Pittsburgh self-destructed; someone must've reminded Roethlisberger that he's just a rookie. He'll hit the sophomore slump next year, they're going to lose Burress, and maybe Bettis(?). Either way, I think this was their season, and they blew it.

Taz I don't want to argue I know we have before but how did you come up with this? Just replaying the games in your mind I can see you thinking this but the head to head record this year was AFC-NFC 44-20 that is an ass whooping of all ass whoopings. I haven't done the research but I would be willing to bet this kind of record hasn't happened lately.
