Looks like the real thing. I've seen it on other sites that had had it listed for the March 15th date that now have the 22nd as the release.

Well with football season over (Patriots #1!!!!) I think I'll pass on 2k5 and wait for this.

I have been a hard-core GT fan since day one, but am going to wait this one out. I may rent it first to see how Sony did. GT3 was disappointing.

Early release is possible. Supposedly Sony yanked the online capability.

Early release would have been sometime mid last year. They are far beyond early at this point, even if it came out yesterday. And yeah, they did yank the online ability.

Yeah, that's not the first time in the series that it's been delayed. Let me rephrase: Earlier than the projected late release date is possible.

I may get mine on the 21st well at 12 pm anyways. The store here is gonna stay open due to the fact they have over 150 reservations for the game. Can't wait .

If you plan on getting it at 12 pm on the 21st, you're gonna be standing in line for about 12 hours.




I also thought that GT3 was somewhat diappointing when I first got it. But the longer I spent with it, the more I realized it was truly the best of the series. It did somewhat lack that "feeling" of speed that the first two did, but was superior to them in every other way.

I will likely buy it. But renting first might not be a bad idea. More times than not when games are delayed this long there is geniunely something wrong that simply can't be fixed.

Tomb Raider, anyone?

I've been playing a lot of GT3 again lately, and was starting to get excited about GT4.

Here's an excerpt from www.gamespot.com. While it may be cool for a while, I hope Sony hasn't wasted all of it's effort in areas that don't really matter in this game.

The GT I remember called itself "The Ultimate Driving Simulator"

"For the bulk of today's presentation, in fact, Yamauchi discussed the previously unannounced "photo mode" that will be appearing in the game, which allows you to take photos of your favorite cars, organize them into slideshows, share them with friends online, and even print them out at a resolution of 1280x960 if you have a photo-quality printer you can plug into your PS2's USB port. In addition to taking photos from your saved action replays, GT4 will allow you to stage your own photo opportunities simply by selecting a location, placing a car in it, positioning your camera, applying any effects and filters you like, and then hitting the shoot button. Little bit of a 'jack here since you guys are apparently talking PS2 titles, but how about a quick recommendation for a similar racing game for Xbox? Sorry, I'm new to consoles and am pretty much at the mercy of my friends' advice before I spend my money.
