Some pics....

Here are some pics I wanted to share. I finished stripping the baby gixxer down today in preperation for the race bodywork and damaged tank that I have.

I also, wired up the Digi Gear Indicator. Which is working pretty awesome. It was my first unsupervised foray (did I use that word correctly) into soldering and it works so I must not have done that poorly.

I also snapped some pics of my weight room b/c it kicks ass and I wanted to brag. I have the stereo wired into my computer w/ all of my mp3's and MusicMatch OnDemand so I can pipe any music I want down there. It rules!

The dish is something we had for dinner tonight. It's brown rice, publano pepper, cilantro, lime juice, and shrimp. It rocked. The wine....I'm not into wine, but I had a few sips. It wasn't bad.

yep. hung out in the basement w/ some Dave Matthews going. All I needed was a beer and I'd been set. But I passed.

Beer and mechanics dont work for me. I usually just jam to some Disturbed and getter done

Bikes in the garage plastics in the attic. Hey did you drain your tank or do you have one of those disconnects?

Just unpluged it. No leaky...yet.

Baccus, here you go buddy. I copied the recipe exactly, however we made it differently. I think this wants you to serve it cold, but we ate it hot. We also used lime rather than lemon. Also, our shrimp were already cooked, so we cooked brown rice in a regular ole pot and then threw everything else in. Easier that way. Enjoy!

HD

Shrip and Rice Salad w/ Cilantro-Lemon Dressing
10 cups hot water
1 (3 1/2 ounc bag of long grain rice
1 1/2 pound large shimp, peeled and deveined
3/4 cup finely chopped pobland chile
1/2 cup fresh cilantro chopped
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper
2 tablespoons extravirgin olive oil
4 lemon wedges

1. Bring wather to a boil in a large dutch oven. Ad bag of rice, cook 5 mins. Add shrimp, return to a boil. Cook 5 mins or until shrimp are done. Drain bag of rice and shrimp. Rinse w/ cold water. Drain.
2. Combine poblano and next 5 ingredients (through red pepper) in a large bowl. Open bag of rice. Add rice and shrimp to poblano mixture; toss gently to combine. Drizzle w/ oil, and toss to coat. Serve w/ lemon wedges.

I thought for sure he would steal the show, but I'm biased.

So since you brought it up....he's the coolest little buddy. I'd be sitting next to the bike ( you know; at his level) and he'd walk up to me, stand there, look at me like "What'cha doin?", and then either lick my face, or paw at my arm to get me to pay attention to him/play w/ him. It was annoying, but really cute at the same time.

He had to go into his "house" though while I was soldering and programming the Digi. You have to run the bike throught the gears while running on the rear stand in order to program it, so I didn't want any puppy tails or paws caught in any chains or other moving parts. That would have sucked the big one.
