Lime-wire.net ....legal???

Anybody use Lime-wire.net, it claims to be 100% legal but that seems a little far fetched and I dont want to break the law.

I'm thinking itunes is the ebay/walmart/nextel of the online music industry and the only real legal way to d/l music.

Re: Lime-wire.net ....legal???

I use it but not very often. I'm not sure how they get away with saying its 100% legal. I think it has somethign to do with keeping track of "members" and once you've logged off it has no record of what you had up for downloading. Any of those file sharing programs are the same really. You aren't suppose to download any copyrighted material unless you already own it.

if you can't convince them, confuse them.

Re: Lime-wire.net ....legal???

A co-worker of mine told me that it's not the downloading part that is illegal, but the sharing part. Anyone know how true this is? He has never stopped downloading from Kazaa.

Re: Lime-wire.net ....legal???

A crook lie Seriously it is legal unless you are sharing copyrighted material. Thus if I share SheepofBlue Sonata #2 with you no problem, however if I beam you a Metallica song it is stealing.

Must obey the sheep dog
