Best wishes to everyone, DEPO
When my daughter was born, I got the punch in the arm at 2:30 in the morning, and we hopped in the car to go. I figured since it was pretty much deserted, it would be a good idea for me to flash my brights and make some speed. Sure enough, the only other car on the road was a Sheriff, who did a U-Turn and lit me up.
I kept going, geticulating wildly out the window, and it soon became evident that I was going to the hospital. He pulled around, waved for me to follow, and escorted me to the emergency room entrance. As I got out of the car to let my wife out, I told her, "Act like it hurts, honey."
She grabbed my shirt, pulled me close, and in her best "The Exorcist" voice assured me that "IT DOES."
A nurse met us with a wheelchair, and I told the cop I'd be right back. Came back out in a few minutes to move the car, and he told me to have a nice baby and left.
