Re: We have an E-Bay winner!!!

Hope you don't get screwed.. I never bid on anything coming from a seller with hardly any feedback.. If you pay with paypal make sure you pay the extra couple bucks for the paypal garantee thing so if you get screwed they pay you back and then they go after the seller for the cash...

How big were the fees? And what part of Canada (I'm assuming) are you from? It might be worth a ride up there on the wing.

P.S. What about marking it as a gift?

I am in Québec and we are presently having 30 cm of snow so riding is a big

I bought an original bolt on for 25$ and ended up paying 75$ fees

The gift thing is a good idea, but I am starting to feel like I will be the one giving a gift to the guy, should I really worry about his no feedback thing

Re: We have an E-Bay winner!!!

I would worry. I had some bad experiences with E-Bay that had nothing to do with me and another member of this site.

Re: We have an E-Bay winner!!!

Make sure the seller ships it by US Post.
Have the seller write "Replacement Parts" $0 value on the bill of lading. You can also have him insure it if your concerned about theft.

Look, lean, believe!!

Re: We have an E-Bay winner!!!

Denis, I've gotten screwed twice by bringing stuff that I bought off E-Bay across the border. It's never (in my case) the fault of the seller. It's freekin customs and couriers and taxes and bullshit.

There's a couple of members here who have had experiences shipping stuff to Canada. Ask NHFirefighter.

Also, NEVER NEVER NEVER pay for anything with money order, especially someone who has no feedback. He may be the best kind of an honest guy, but you don't know that for sure.

I concur. Don't get it shipped via anything other than US post.

That is what I have done a couple of time and it has worked great for me...they ship everything U.S.P.S and either write up the bill as replacement or warranty parts...when I got my brake lines in the just wrote motorcycle parts valued under $200 and I never had a problem with them. Hope that helps
