Just wanted to say Happy St. Patrick's day to all! I know I am going to enjoy the Guinness or 5 that I am going to drink tonight. Mmmm....I can taste it already.

I'll be having several with ya Pal, just in a different place. I'll be visiting a little Pub called Caldwell's Grant.

With a name like O'Flaherty, I'll be in my glee.

Here's to the two kinds of people in the world, Irishmen, and all the people who want to be Irish today!!

As my favourite Irish Blessing goes:

Quote:
May ye be 'alf an hour in Heaven afore the Divil knows you're dead!!

It is funny how people expouse how they are irish on this day. When in fact, they are not.

Guinness in Raleigh?? OK, I wanna know where to get that for next time I go to Moncure on business. I was in quite a few bars in the area and never came across it once.

Really? Man, its everywhere here! A few restaurants don't have it, but I have yet to be in a BAR or pub that did not have it on draft!

Listening to Dropkick Murphy's to get into the spirit, and just gave blood to make the evening cheaper.

Re: Guinness anyone?

Where is the guy who has a quote from Boondock saints in his signature?
I'm about to watch that movie now. I'm not irish but it seems like a good enough reason for me to drink.

Re: Guinness anyone?

Guinness? *BLECH*
Might as well crack open a quart of Castrol! I bet they taste about the same!

(Just kidding. Last time I dared try a Guinness was thirteen years ago. I was only 20. All I remember is that it sucked. Hard. Maybe by now my tastes have changed; come to think of it, I didn't like lager then, either, but that's all I drink now...)

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all you IrishMenAndWomen. And safe driving to all...

Re: Guinness anyone?

Mmmm. Guinness. It's too dark to dye green, though!
That reminds me of a funny story: Years ago (like 20), a friend and I were going to do the green beer thing. She insisted we should put in blue dye, because beer is yellow, and yellow and blue make green. I said that wouldn't work, we need to use green dye. She was very stubborn and put in too much blue. Needless to say, she had this glass of very dark royal blue beer. I'm like "I'm not drinking that".

I have some Guinness cans in the basement, the ones with the little plastic ball that adds fizz. Yum!
