I need a camera mount or remote camera...

Some friends of mine from NYC are comming to ride the gap in a couple of weeks and I would like to get some video footage of them. I have the camera, but no way to mount it to the bike. I was hoping someone on here who knows that I am good for it would loan me one or the other for a weekend. The mount I am refering to mounts a camcorder to the tank of the bike... Ill be happy to compensate you for it, and take great care of it.

Can anyone help a brother out?
Thanks,
Chris

Re: I need a camera mount or remote camera...

Have you seen the helmet cams that I manufacture and sell?

Re: I need a camera mount or remote camera...

I got a helmet cam you could borrow if you have a mount to the helmet. I just put the camcorder in a backpack (not as nice but convenient) The only thing is the mike is not working. Let me know soon though as we would have to meet tonight as I am going south Friday.

EDIT: and the lanc switch if your camcorder has one.

Re: I need a camera mount or remote camera...

Chris, here's a good working free setup I used to use before the bullet cam..

All you need is a cam, a pair of jeans or sweat pants and a bungee net. Fold the pants so the cam can sit on it and you get the desired angle/view out of the cam. Strap it down w/ the bungee net. I usually throw on some duck tape for good measure. This works on the tank or the tail. Me and my teammate have used this many times at the gap and at the track w/o any problems.

I tried a camera mount one time..it bolted to the gas cap....it's sucked....too much vibration and the footage was aweful. The pants dampen the stock pretty well.

I like the bullet cams the best but my battery for mine is dead...along w/ my camera!

Re: I need a camera mount or remote camera...

I made one from my Joe Rocket tank bag and some thick styrofoam cut & trimmed to fit properly. It wasn't professional, or pretty, but it works.
