Re: Heard of this guy?

The 100-mile mountain race he mentions is the Western States 100 which goes through my town about 10 miles before the finish. We usually go down to the trail and watch the mutants pass to see what people look like after a full day of torture. A friend of mine was pulled at the 50 mile mark because he was pissing blood.

Re: Heard of this guy?

I just happened to read about him in the Doc's office this week. I used to love to run, and I enjoy most sports, but there is no freekin way that is normal.

Re: Heard of this guy?

We may say he's , but then people say the same thing about us motorcycle riders. Especially the track guys (myself not excluded) that go flying around the track on a motorcycle reaching speeds of 140+ MPH. The only thing seperating our skin from the tarmac is a thin piece of leather.

So who's really ? Us or him?

Just an observation.

Gratuitous Movie Quotes:

Chris Knight: Have you ever seen a body like this before in your life?
David Decker: She happens to be my daughter.
Chris Knight: Oh. Then I guess you have.

Chris Knight: Look at it this way. Considering the type of people you are and the environment you're in, this may be the only chance you ever have in your entire lives to have sex.

Mitch: The weirdest thing just happened to me.
Chris Knight: Was it a dream where you were where you see yourself standing in sort of sun-god robes on a pyramid, with a thousand naked women screaming and throwing little pickles at you?
Mitch: No...
Chris Knight: Why, am I the only one who has that dream?

Darlington Recruiter: You're Chris Knight, aren't you?
Chris Knight: I hope so. I'm wearing his underwear.

Is a paradigm worth 20 cents?

Re: Heard of this guy?

That is pretty cool. I have to admire anyone with the determination and willpower to do something like that.
