Re: Shift Light

I am trying to hook up my shift light on my F3 track bike. i need to run one of the wires to the negative terminal on the coil. I finally found the coil and it looks like I will need to take off the tank to get to the thing. Anybody know off hand if the neegative terminal is marked or anything? If not how do I know where to connect it? Thanks for any help.

Re: Shift Light

is this something that can be found in the shop manual - if so I am more than willing to go dig it out of the trailer and look for you

Re: Shift Light

It should be... I have uncovered the coils and have no idea which connection is positive and negative. The shop manual should say which color is positive and which is negative. I would be much appreciative...

Re: Shift Light

OK, so there are two coils and they both have a b/w and bl/y wire... the posts on the coil itself are black and turqoise/green. Is this a standard color scheme for positive/negative? The b/w wire is on the black post I think.
