Unfortunately in ten years when people are bithcing and moaning about the side effects like birth defects and suing the drug companies for making a drug that helped rid them of cancer, it will be taken off the market.

I thought of that when they mentioned Thalidomide. However, didn't the article mention that right now they're just using Revlimid on older people? So birth defects shouldn't be an issue. And considering the cancer will mess you up pretty bad, I'd say the side effects would have to be pretty bad to discourage me if I needed it.
But I think you're right about impending lawsuits.
