That was stunt man Troy Hartman. It was a stunt for a tv show. The chute he lit on fire was actualy direct deployed out of the plane, meaning it was actaly a 3rd chute, he still had his main and reserve in his rig. Cool none the less. My only fear would have been the lack of drag on the burned cannopy not allowing the three ring release to properly cut away. But he had plenty of time to hook knife it away if it hadent.

Not every landing is perfect. Sometimes you don't land on your feet and stumble a little. Lots of jumpers have knee pads or pucks in their suits to protect just in case of hard landing.. that was a sweet little video though......

Maybe in some cases, but that is a set of motorcycle leathers, not a jump suit.
